DEPTH IN EACH
A Western physician first (board-certified family medicine, 1996) and, by formal training rather than acquaintance, a physician of Asian medicine (board-certified medical acupuncture, 2000): two full physician acupuncture certifications (UCLA/Helms 2001; Helms/Stanford 2012), 270-hour Chinese herbal medicine certification, and a gubernatorial appointment as Physician Advisor to the North Carolina Acupuncture Licensing Board (2015–2017). Ayurveda studied through Bastyr University with Vivek Shanbhag (2004–2006), pulse diagnosis with Vasant Lad, and with Shekhar Annambhotla and Aparna Bapat; twice a presenter at the National Ayurvedic Medical Association; guest lecturer on Ayurveda in UNC-Chapel Hill School of Medicine's integrative curriculum; student of and informal advisor to the Himalayan Institute; collaborator on panchakarma with Ayurvedic providers, including Pure Life Ayurveda (Raleigh, NC). Twenty-five years of acupuncture practice, fifteen of Chinese herbal medicine, twenty of Ayurvedic lifestyle prescription. Everything below rests on that foundation.
WHAT SHE BRINGS TO A LIFE HUB IN NEW YORK
A New York medical director and, where wanted, the physician-owned medical entity itself; or, where a medical partner is already in place, the compliance advisory alone. In whatever role MSpa's structure calls for: Kireina as the medical entity with MSpa as manager; medical director within an entity MSpa or the owner establishes; physician partner who builds the structure with you; or compliance advisor to the partner you have. In every case: New York compliance from the inside, selection and supervision of clinicians, written standards and in-house training for Ayurvedic technicians and for infusion, injectable and energy-device services, and the clinical depth in Ayurveda, Chinese medicine and neuro-wellness that lets Life be practiced here as it is in Phuket.
