WHAT KIREINA IS

A New York physician group founded and led by Lynnea Villanova MD: internal, women's, physical and aesthetic medicine, Asian medicine practiced at real depth, and neuro-wellness, conceived, built and directed as one practice. Kireina currently medical directs luxury spas and aesthetics practices in New York, and has owned and directed practices in pain management, integrative medicine and minimally invasive aesthetics for twenty years, several within managed services organization operational structures.

ROOT AND BRANCH, AT HER PACE

Asian medicine has a saying: treat the root, not only the branch. A guest who wants only the branch treated should have exactly that, beautifully. When a root shows itself, or hints that it is there, it is not passed over; it is named, given its due weight and met with resources. Every member of staff is trained in-house for this, the massage therapist to whom a problem is first disclosed as much as the clinician screening for an energy-based treatment: to notice, to meet her where she is, to go one level deeper only when she wants to, never to correct what is not theirs to correct, and to bring in the appropriate provider when the next level is called for. It cannot be protocolized, and it is the whole difference between a spa with medical services and a place people return to because they were seen.

Kireina is wary of the optimized life. Most people get well at about eighty-five percent compliance and get worse chasing the last fifteen. The middle way is not a compromise; it is the destination. HOW A PARTNERSHIP IS SHAPED

New York requires medicine to sit in a physician-owned entity, with the hotel, spa or management company providing space, administration and brand under a fixed-fee management services agreement. Within that, the partnership can take whatever form suits the operator: Kireina as the medical entity working with the operator's management company; Kireina with a specialist medical-wellness management partner it introduces; the operator's own physician entity with Kireina's founder as medical director; or Kireina as the launch entity while the operator's structure matures. WHAT KIREINA BRINGS TO THE STRUCTURE

The medicine: consultation, treatment, employer of record for licensed clinicians with specialists engaged as needed, supervision, clinical decisions, protocols, records, adverse-event management and escalation, accountability.
